Each card will have your design laser etched or diamond milled onto the precious metal without any color fill. For your text or design, you can pick from a wide range of spot colors. There will be additional charges if you want a spot color fill added to the text or logo. Each side of the card can have multiple colors applied to it.

The process of building our gold metal business cards is unique to this card. By first adding a photoresistive coating to the metal’s surface and then exposing it to acid, text and graphics are chemically etched onto the card. An electrophoretic, oleophobic lacquer is then applied to the metal. Precision cut-throughs are made by etching into the same spot on the front and back of the card until the two sections meet and produce a hole.

Metal Card Effects

Stainless steel is used in the production of all of our metal business cards. This allows us to ensure that the metal’s texture and color are consistent even in big volumes. The metal we employ is special in that it can keep its shape even when bent. Our business cards will not rust or corrode and are extremely resistant to the elements.

Etching

Etching is exclusively available on our metal cards. When used on our stainless steel cards, it provides a slightly sunken appearance with a matte surface. It’s a lovely and opulent finish for details and designs on metal cards, and it looks especially good when paired with a spot color.

We can etch and cut the steel with great precision using our innovative photochemical milling method. This enables elaborate patterns, holes, and grilles to be created. We etch the text into the matt finish itself, rather than printing it onto the metal’s surface, which tends to rub away over time. The lighter stainless steel shines through, creating a contrast between the black coating and the exposed metal.

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving creates a one-of-a-kind look. A laser burns away the desired design, creating a fascinating finish with varying colors depending on the surface sliced, which is most commonly utilized on our metal cards. The ultimate result on our black duplex uncoated card stocks, for example, is a deep depressed ‘bronze’ look. Our stainless and gold metal cards have a silver sheen, while our black metal cards have a bronze finish.

Cut Through Die Cutting Cut through die cutting enables for unique card personalization. Simple and complex designs can be cut accurately and meticulously through our metal cards, resulting in a stunning and eye-catching finish. Use it to add details to your card design, such as rounded corners or unusual shapes.

Spot Colors

Spot coloring allows for the addition of bright solid colors to metal cards. Spot coloring works best when combined with etching, but it can also stand alone with the correct design. Spot color can be used to add branding or a unique hue to your metal card designs.

Variable Data

Unique details might be varied on each card thanks to variable data. Business cards for many people with the identical logos and address details, or membership cards with a unique membership number, are examples of this. On our metal cards, variable data is available and can be laser etched or coated with a spot color.

Custom Shapes & Outlines

We can not only cut through the steel, but we can also change the shape of the card by removing metal from the edges. Furthermore, there is no additional payment as long as the chosen shape falls within the dimensions of a regular card.

Card Finishing

There are three different finishes available for our metal cards. Mirror, original and brushed.

Mirror Finishing – Our gold, rose gold, and stainless steel metal cards have a delightfully rich feel thanks to mirror finishing, which produces a highly reflecting and polished surface. The final outcome of mirror polishing is elegant and beautiful.

Original Finishing – Our stainless steel metal card stock has an original finish. It is not as reflective as mirror finishing, but it does have a distinct ‘metal’ appearance and an attractive gloss. It has a similar sheen to most high-end stainless steel appliances and gadgets.

Brushed Finishing – Brushed finishing is the third type of finish available in our metal card collection. This finish creates a delicate linear brush pattern across the card’s un-etched region. It’s perfect for cards with a lot of etching or a lot of un-etched surface.

Frost & Prism Finishing

Our distinctive prism and front finishing, which is available on our luxury black metal card collection, creates a lovely textured and finger print resistant finish. Micro geometric designs can be created with prism finishing, while frost finishing adds a delicate touch to the card. Our sleek and powerful black metal card series with prism or frost finishes is both elegant and forceful.
