Fine Detail Engraving

Engraving adds a luxurious detail and dimension to your printed products, allowing your products to stand out with distinction. Engraving has a unique and extraordinary detail with small type and fine insignias giving a clearer finish than any other printing technique.

The engraving process uses finely engraved plates of copper or steel. The engraved, or recessed areas are coated in ink before the plate is pushed against to the printing surface using a powerful engraving press. The press using extreme pressure to press the plate against the surface, which results in a bruising on the back of the printed page. This bruise is usually seen as a mark of prestige and genuine engraving.

One press pass and one engraved die is used for each individual color. The engraving inks are 100% opaque, which allows for brilliant, vibrant colors not seen in other printing processes. This process allows fine type in white ink on black card stock or a ruby red shine in a precious metal. Engraving inks are water based and extremely durable when compared to digital printing methods.
