Custom die cut is included in the price of our black metal cards. A die cut is the process where designs are cut out of sheets of paper or card using a sharp steel blade formed in to a specific design. The shapes for die cutting are limitless.  Die cutting provides an extremely crisp, smooth edge cut that can include intricately fine details giving your artwork a distinctive look not able to be achieved with standard scissor and guillotine cutting.

Choose whether you'd like your stainless steel business cards to be printed without an etch or with a full bleed etch. During the process and acid is used to etch away any unwanted material. The etched surface will appear lighter in colour and this contrasts with the unetched surface of the card.

  • Choose whether your business cards should have front or back laser engrave.  In order to create an engraving we use laser to remove areas of the metal to create visible depth and structure.  Laser engravings can be used for symbols, logos or text.

Choose whether you'd like your business cards to have variable data such as spot color or laser engrave. Variable-data printing is a form of digital printing in which certain elements may be changed from one printed piece to the next, without stopping or slowing down the printing process.

Discover More about Black Metal Business Cards

Black metal business cards our our most popular (and opulent) metal business card. The matte black look and feel of our Black Metal Business Cards is designed to impress. These cards are one-of-a-kind and custom made to your specifications, unique to each order. When you hand over your black metal business cards to a client, they will react in a way that no other card kind can match. Experience the black card difference, which is significantly superior to even the greatest quality paper cards — you'll wonder why you didn't order them sooner. These long-lasting black metal business cards are composed of 0.5mm thick 304 anodized stainless steel. Our entire range of metal cards are made of this metal since it's strong (at 0.5mm thick, it won't readily bend), corrosion-resistant, and has a traditional brilliant 'steel' appearance. These cards are covered with our matte black finish after etching, which makes an immediate impression in the hand.

Metal Card Effects

Stainless steel is used in the production of all of our metal business cards. This allows us to ensure that the metal's texture and color are consistent even in big volumes. The metal we employ is special in that it can keep its shape even when bent. Our business cards will not rust or corrode and are extremely resistant to the elements.

Etching

Etching is exclusively available on our metal cards. When used on our stainless steel cards, it provides a slightly sunken appearance with a matte surface. It's a lovely and opulent finish for details and designs on metal cards, and it looks especially good when paired with a spot color. We can etch and cut the steel with great precision using our innovative photochemical milling method. This enables elaborate patterns, holes, and grilles to be created. We etch the text into the matt finish itself, rather than printing it onto the metal's surface, which tends to rub away over time. The lighter stainless steel shines through, creating a contrast between the black coating and the exposed metal.

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving creates a one-of-a-kind look. A laser burns away the desired design, creating a fascinating finish with varying colors depending on the surface sliced, which is most commonly utilized on our metal cards. The ultimate result on our black duplex uncoated card stocks, for example, is a deep depressed 'bronze' look. Our stainless and gold metal cards have a silver sheen, while our black metal cards have a bronze finish. Cut Through Die Cutting Cut through die cutting enables for unique card personalization. Simple and complex designs can be cut accurately and meticulously through our metal cards, resulting in a stunning and eye-catching finish. Use it to add details to your card design, such as rounded corners or unusual shapes.

Spot Colors

Spot coloring allows for the addition of bright solid colors to metal cards. Spot coloring works best when combined with etching, but it can also stand alone with the correct design. Spot color can be used to add branding or a unique hue to your metal card designs.

Variable Data

Unique details might be varied on each card thanks to variable data. Business cards for many people with the identical logos and address details, or membership cards with a unique membership number, are examples of this. On our metal cards, variable data is available and can be laser etched or coated with a spot color.

Custom Shapes & Outlines

We can not only cut through the steel, but we can also change the shape of the card by removing metal from the edges. Furthermore, there is no additional payment as long as the chosen shape falls within the dimensions of a regular card.

Card Finishing

There are three different finishes available for our metal cards. Mirror, original and brushed. Mirror Finishing - Our gold, rose gold, and stainless steel metal cards have a delightfully rich feel thanks to mirror finishing, which produces a highly reflecting and polished surface. The final outcome of mirror polishing is elegant and beautiful. Original Finishing - Our stainless steel metal card stock has an original finish. It is not as reflective as mirror finishing, but it does have a distinct 'metal' appearance and an attractive gloss. It has a similar sheen to most high-end stainless steel appliances and gadgets. Brushed Finishing - Brushed finishing is the third type of finish available in our metal card collection. This finish creates a delicate linear brush pattern across the card's un-etched region. It's perfect for cards with a lot of etching or a lot of un-etched surface.

Frost & Prism Finishing

Our distinctive prism and front finishing, which is available on our luxury black metal card collection, creates a lovely textured and finger print resistant finish. Micro geometric designs can be created with prism finishing, while frost finishing adds a delicate touch to the card. Our sleek and powerful black metal card series with prism or frost finishes is both elegant and forceful.

What file types should my artwork be?

JPG, PDF, EPS, TIFF, AI, and PS are among the file types that can be uploaded (PostScript).

Ensure that your PDF file is saved in normal PDF/X format (PDF/X3 or PDF/X1a) directly from your graphics application. When saving artworks, utilize the “1.3 compatibility” setting to avoid problems with layers and transparencies during the printing process.

If you’re delivering TIFF files, keep the number of layers to a minimum.

Please do not utilize pre-separated data from DCS EPS to avoid color variations or difficulties with the printed image.

Do you offer variable data?

Yes, we offer variable data on all our products. Variable data printing allows for unique details to be added to each individual card such as numbers, addresses and names with the rest of the card design remaining the same. A good example is a postcard which has one design but a unique address printed on each invidivual card. Business cards for many people with the identical logos and address details, or membership cards with a unique membership number, are more examples of this. On our metal cards, variable data is available and can be laser etched or coated with a spot color.

You must submit the original font file with your artwork to use variable printing.

The personalisation that is involved distinguishes variable data printing from regular printing. Personalization allows a business to establish a relationship with its clients. Variable data printing is more than just a variable name or address in a printed item; in the past, a variable name would have sufficed because variable data printing was a novel notion. Personalization in today’s society must represent the customer’s values. VDP needs to know something about its customers in order to be successful. A consumer who enjoys sports, for example, would receive a VDP postcard featuring an image of their favorite baseball player. Because the buyer is more likely to read the contents of the postcard, it is effective. Sending the same consumer a postcard with an image of a soccer player is an example of an inefficient VDP piece. If the buyer does not care about soccer, he or she may or may not notice the postcard. The goal is to provide value to the customer through being able to relate to them. Personalization enables a business to relate to, engage with, and potentially start a relationship with a potential consumer, as well as maintain a relationship with current customers. A consumer who has been converted into a prospect can then be converted into a loyal customer. Companies want to build long-term relationships with their consumers, and variable data printing may help them do so by providing high-quality work and support.

Do my artworks need bleed?

All files should have a 2mm bleed on either side to guarantee that there are no white spaces on the printed output. This means that your design should always be 2mm larger than the actual print format (including photos and graphics). Failure to do so may result in minor differences, such as white margins. Place typefaces and vital aspects of your drawing at least 3mm away from the final format (not counting bleeding) and avoid using edges as edges in layouts to ensure that they are visible.

Optional: If supplying data in an open format for printing, the bleed should be 4mm on each side (e.g., A4 size including bleed should be 301 x 214mm). – Please prepare a file with 3mm bleed on either side if submitting files for presentation folders, banners, monthly calendars, packaging, or any other promotional technology goods. – Envelopes should have a 1mm bleed on all sides. The elastic frames made of textile must be bled 15mm.

Please refer to our artwork instructions if you require additional information.

What is a full bleed design?

A design is called full bleed when it is printed within 0.25″ of the card’s edges. This varies from ordinary printing in that the designs must be printed before the cards are trimmed to ensure appropriate alignment and design work.

In white and metallic ink printing, as well as offset printing, we offer complete bleed price. A fee is applied to all other finishes.

Full bleed (designs that extend to the edges of your card) necessitates the use of bigger plates. If a design gets within 0.25″ of a card’s edge, it is considered full bleed. Plate stamping techniques such as foil stamping, debossing, embossing, letterpress, and thermography are used in many of our print features. Any designs that are within 0.25″ of the card’s edge will require larger plates to be completed appropriately. If your design is within 0.25″ of the card edge, choose this option.

What type of finishes do you offer on your metal cards?

There are three different finishes available for our metal cards: mirror finished, original finish and brushed finished. Our gold, rose gold, and stainless steel metal cards have a delightfully rich feel thanks to mirror finishing, which produces a highly reflecting and polished surface. The final outcome of mirror polishing is elegant and beautiful.

Our stainless steel metal card stock has an original finish. It is not as reflective as mirror finishing, but it does give a distinct ‘metal’ impression and a sophisticated gloss. It has a similar sheen to most high-end stainless steel appliances and gadgets.

Brushed finishing is the third type of finish available in our metal card collection. This finish creates a delicate linear brush pattern across the card’s un-etched region. It’s perfect for cards with a lot of etching or a lot of un-etched surface.

Are you an environmentally friendly printer?

Yes we certainly are! We have the most comprehensive selection of soy ink-based eco-friendly printing materials in New York, including recycled business cards, brochures, presentation folders, sales sheets, stationery, catalogs, flyers, calendars, and more. Our regular stock is now recycled paper.

The printing sector has a bad reputation for environmental stewardship, with excessive use of water and electricity, paper waste, and the usage of volatile chemicals that result in toxic waste in the past. One of Luxury Printing’s main interests is environmental protection, and we aim to put our world first.

And here’s how we set ourself apart:
– Using soy-based inks as standard
– Using recycled paper stocks as standard
– Printing processes that reduce paper usage, such as duplex printing
– Modern equipment that consume less energy
– Elimination of hazardous and volatile substances
– We recycle our printing plates, press blankets, bottles, cans, and containers.
– We recycle superfluous machines and computer parts.
